Reach for the Sky Daycare was created from something very personal: our own family’s experience trying to find dependable child care for our granddaughter.
As grandparents, we understand that choosing child care is about much more than finding someone who has an opening. You are trusting another person with someone you love more than anything. Parents need to know their child will be safe, comforted, encouraged, and genuinely cared for while they are away.
That understanding became the foundation for Reach for the Sky.
Our goal is to create a warm, home-based child care environment where children can feel secure, build confidence, learn through play, and simply enjoy being children.
Small-Group, Home-Based Care
We believe one of the greatest advantages of family child care is the opportunity to create a smaller, more personal environment.
Instead of children feeling like one of many, our goal is for every child to be known.
Our planned program will serve:
Infants
Nurturing care, individualized routines, safe play, and age-appropriate developmental experiences.
Preschool Children
Learning through play, creativity, early literacy, social development, exploration, and hands-on activities.
School-Age Children
A comfortable place to unwind, read, play, complete activities, and receive dependable care around the school day.
Care Designed Around Real Families
We also understand that family schedules do not always fit neatly into traditional child care hours.
Reach for the Sky is being designed with working families in mind, including parents who work early mornings, longer shifts, nontraditional schedules, and changing hours.
Our planned weekday operating window is:
Monday-Friday | 5:30 AM-7:00 PM
Weekend and overnight care may also be available by advance arrangement and subject to availability.
Each family will have an agreed-upon care schedule so that children have consistency while parents have dependable support..
Safety Is Part of Everything We Do
Parents deserve peace of mind.
Reach for the Sky is being developed with safety, supervision, organization, and preparation at the center of the program.
Our planned environment includes enhanced home security and surveillance, child-safe indoor and outdoor spaces, structured arrival and pickup procedures, age-appropriate equipment, emergency preparedness, and careful supervision.
Our two-provider model is also intended to provide additional support and attentive care.
One provider applicant brings a background as a retired law-enforcement officer, adding another level of safety awareness, observation, and preparedness to our family child care environment.

Reach for the Sky Daycare is currently completing the California Family Child Care Home licensing process.
Child care services are not currently being provided.
